NMAT ( UG ) - 2013

Admission for 4 year B.Tech and 5 year MBA (Tech) programmes for the academic year commencing from July/August, 2013

Admission for these programs is through NMAT (UG) 2013

B.Tech: Information Technology (Mumbai 60 seats, Shirpur 60 seats), Computer Engineering (Mumbai 120 seats, Shirpur 60 seats), Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (Mumbai 120 seats, Shirpur 60 seats), Mechanical Engineering (Mumbai 60 seats, Shirpur 60 seats), Civil Engineering (Mumbai 60 seats, Shirpur 60 seats)

MBA (Tech): Information Technology (Mumbai 40 seats, Shirpur 40 seats), Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering (Mumbai 40 seats, Shirpur 40 seats), Computer Engineering (Shirpur 40 seats), Chemical Engineering (Mumbai 30 seats), Mechanical Engineering (Mumbai 40 seats, Shirpur 40 seats), Civil Engineering (Mumbai 40 seats, Shirpur 40 seats)

Eligibility Criteria: 

Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam including international IB Diploma (IB certificate awarded is not eligible) and with science or science vocational

Minimum 50% marks in PCM for Mumbai campus and 45% marks in PCM for Shirpur campus

Those awaiting their 10+2 exam result this year may also apply

Candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam by doing a part time course or through distance learning/ correspondence/externally/open school are not eligible to apply for the courses

Candidates should present single marksheet

Candidates passed with compartment is not eligible

IB and Cambridge Candidate: 

Candidates called for admission counseling on the basis of NMAT (UG) merit list and who do not have final marksheet will be given provisional admission

Fees will be accepted from such candidate but their admission will be confirmed on submission of final marksheet if found eligible before the commencement of the program

Admission Process: 

Online registration

Registration online on website and pay registration fee of Rs 1600/- (non refundable) by credit card, cash at Axis Bank and by demand draft (Please refer online registration for payment details)

Online Test: 

All eligible candidates who are registered successfully will be called for the online test

Admit Card: 

On the basis of information indicted in the application form, call letter/admit card for the admission test and the venue (School/College) at each centre will be communicated to the candidate

Download the call letter/admit card from website

No separate call letter will be mailed/posted

Candidate must carry requisite ID proof while appearing for NMAT (UG)

Test Center: 

The NMAT (UG) 2013 will be conducted at following centers

NMAT (UG)-2013: 

The NMAT (UG)-2013 would be an objective type multiple choice test (there will be no descriptive type of questions)

The NMAT (UG)-2013 will comprise of 3 major parts; Proficiency in English Language; Quantitative and Numerical Ability; Reasoning and General Intelligence

For each question for which a wrong answer is marked, 1/4th of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted as penalty

Selection Process: 

Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidate in NMAT (UG)-2013

Candidates will be called for counseling session at Mumbai based on the merit list

In the counseling session candidates will be given admission to various disciplines as per their merit, choice and availability of discipline as per eligibility criteria

The decision of the institute will be final in this regard and no inquiries or correspondence in this regard will be entertained
