Intake:

Mahir-e--Tib/Mahir-e-Jaharat (MD Unani)

Ayurveda Vachaspati (MD-Ayurveda)

Duration: The duration of course for Mahir-e-Tib/Mahir-e-Jaharat and Ayurveda Vachaspati shall be three years (two years after successful completion of preliminary examination)

Medium: Urdu, Arabic and English shall be the medium of instruction and examination for Mahir-e-Tib/Mahir-e-Jaharat

Hindi, Sanskrit and English shall be the medium of instruction and examination for Ayurveda Vachaspati

Eligibility:

Candidates must have completed satisfactorily one year compulsory rotatory internship after passing the BUMS/BAMS examination from the University of Delhi and must have full registration with the State Council Board of Ayurvedic and Unani Medicines/CCIM

Candidate must have passed BUMS/BAMS or equivalent examination from other university estd by law and recognised by the University of Delhi and CCIM and have also completed one year or six months internship in a recognised Hospital and must have full registration with the State Council/Board of Ayurvedic and Unani Medicines/CCIM

Distribution of seats:

85% of the total seats in Mahir-e-Tib/Mahir-e-Jaharat and Ayurveda Vachaspati are reserved for candidates who have passed BUMS/BAMS from the University of Delhi and rest 15% of the total seats are open to the candidates who have passed BUMS/BAMS from other Universities in India

Selection:

There shall be entrance test for admission to the Mahir-e-Tib/Mahir-e-Jaharat and Ayurveda Vachaspati under the Faculty of Ayurvedic and Unani Medicines and said test will be conducted by the University of Delhi

Entrance Test:

The University of Delhi will hold a written entrance test at Delhi for selection of candidates for admission to Mahir-e-Tib/Mihir-e-Jaharat and Ayurveda Vachaspati

The entrance test will consist of one paper for Ayurvedic and Unani consisting of 100 questions each course (covering all subjects Ayurvedic and Unani, taught at the level of BUMS/BAMS)

The duration of the test would be of two hours and will carry a maximum of 400 marks

The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices (1), (2), (3) and (4) of which only one choice/response will be the most appropriate/correct one

For each correct response, the candidate will get 4 marks

For each incorrect response/answer, there will be a deduction of one mark

The answer sheet will be placed inside the test booklet

The candidates will do rough work on the test booklet and not on the answer sheet

Admission shall be made in order of merit on the basis of the result of the entrance test for all subjects/ specialities

In case there is tie of marks in the result of entrance test the following procedure will be adopted for breaking the tie

The candidate who has got more marks in the subject of discipline at BUMS/BAMS examination will be given preference for admission

If the candidates have equal marks in the subject of discipline at BUMS/BAMS, then the candidate having more marks in the aggregate of all Professionals BUMS/BAMS, will be given preference for admission

Merit List:

Merit list of the candidates shall be notified on the notice board of the Faculty office and on the website www.fmsc.ac.in

Candidates may apply for rechecking of their answer sheets within one week of publication of result of the entrance test on payment of Rs 750/- on the prescribed application form available at Faculty office

The candidates in order of merit will be required to appear before the admission committee for counselling in the office of the Faculty of Ayurvedic and Unani Medicines, 6th Floor, VP Chest Institute Building,University of Delhi, Delhi-110007

No individual communication would be sent to the candidates for appearing before the committee

If any candidate is unable to appear on the date and time specified above, he/she may send his/her representative giving reasons for his/her absence to the satisfaction of admission committee and also stating that the selection made by his/her representative would be final and binding on him/her

The candidate should bring, in original, the following documents at the time of counselling; admit card; High School/Higher Secondary (10th class) certificate for verification of date of birth; BUMS/BAMS degree/provisional certificate; detailed mark sheet of all BUMS/BAMS professional examinations; the compulsory rotatory internship certificate in a recognised Unani and Ayurvedic hospital; Employer’s no objection certificate, if employed; registration certificate with State Council/Board of Ayurvedic and Unani Medicines/CCIM; SC/ST/PH/OBC certificate, if applicable

Application Form:

The candidates may obtain bulletin of information (BOI) and application form from the office of the Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Ayurvedic and Unani Medicines, 6th Floor, VP Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 by submitting/sending a bank draft/ banker’s cheque of Rs 1500/- in person and by post Rs 1550/- for General/OBC and Rs 1300/- in person and by post of Rs 1350/- for SC/ST/PH drawn in favour of the Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at Delhi

The University of Delhi will not be responsible for delay/loss in transit of the request for supply of bulletin of information by post, for any reason whatsoever
