Now common test for all engineering colleges
Monday, April 19th, 2010The Indian Institutes of Technology committee of directors is operating upon the application of having single entrance examination for all engineering colleges in India.
If it is been established, then it would be the end of IITs’ Joint Entrance Examination and for all other entrance tests of All India Engineering Entrance Examination which is been accomplished by Central Board of Secondary Education.
S.C.Saxena, director, IIT-Roorkee said that engineering students have to undergo from too much of pressure due to the multiple test which they have to clear in order to take the admission. He recommends that the single entrance examination is the only approach they are looking up to. (more…)
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) -2010 is an all India examination i.e. conducted in eight zones across the country by the GATE committed comprising faculty from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and seven Indian Institute of Technology on behalf of the National Coordinating Board-GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), and Government of India.
