National Institute of Technology ( NIT ) conducts the Haryana Common Engineering Entrance Test. This exam is conducted for admitting students for B.Tech., B.E. and B.Arch courses. The candidates are admitted to various government as well as private institutes on the basis of this test. The Haryana Common Engineering Entrance Test is usually conducted in the month of March. Application Procedure : Admission Brochure and Registration form can be obtained at the sale counters of all Govt./Govt. Aided/University Departments/Private Institutes offering B.E./ B.Tech. programme and also in the camp office of Haryana State Counselling Society/Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana, SCO 38-39, Sector 17A, Chandigarh.  The form can also be download from the prescribed website. The admission Brochure and Registration form for the admission to Engineering courses are only for that particular academic year. Its contents are subject to change without prior notice.  Admission will be made through counseling of students appeared in the merit list.To participate in the counseling, candidate has to register himself/herself through counseling website. Syllabus : Chemistry: Chemistry in action, chemistry of biological processes, biomolecules, polymers, chemistry of carbon compounds, coordination chemistry and organo metallics, transition metals including lanthanides, chemistry of representative elements, nuclear chemistry, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, chemical thermodynamics, chemical bonds and molecules, atomic structure etc. are included in the syllabus. Details : Haryana state has decided not to conduct separate state entrance test known as Common Engineering Entrance Test (CEET) for admissions to AICTE approved B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch. courses offered by universities through their designated departments, Government / Government Aided / Private unaided minority & non – minority institutions located in the State.
