AFCAT 2017- Air Force Common Admission Test is conducted for all Male and Female candidates interested to join the Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officers in Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Branches. The exam is conducted two times in a year i.e. in the month of February and September. Indian Air Force has published notification for the recruitment Commissioned Officer vacancies for Grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying & Permanent Commission (PC)/Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branches through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) - 02/ 2017 - Courses Commencing in July 2018 Eligible candidates may apply online from 03rd June to 29th June 2017.

Eligibility Criteria: Eligibility criteria required for Technical Branch, Flying Branch and Ground Duty Branch: For Flying Branch Interested applicants, who are born in between 2nd January, 1993 to 1st January, 1998 including both dates can only apply. B.E/B.Tech from a recognized university with securing 60% marks or three year duration Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks and should have studied Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level. Minimum Height- 5 cm and Minimum Vision- 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other For Technical Branch Candidates, who are born in between 2nd January, 1992 to 1st January, 1998 including both the dates, can only apply. Pass in Sections A and B exams of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) along with minimum 60% marks or have Graduation degree of 4 years duration. Air Force Common Admission TestExam Pattern

Exam Pattern: The test will be of 2 hours duration. There will be Multiply Choice Based Questions of 3 marks each. The candidates will be penalized in the form of deduction of 1 marks for every wrong answers attempted by them. Three wrong answers will take away one correct answer.
