Qualification Criteria: For DNS: Qualifying Exam: Candidates have to pass 10+2/ equivalent examination or B.Sc or BE/B.Tech (from IIT or college recognized by AICTE). Subjects: Candidates have to pass 10+2/ equivalent examination with PCM or B.Sc in PCM, Electronics with Physics as individual subject in one of the years. Minimum Marks: Candidates have to secure minimum 60% marks (10+2/ equivalent examination) or not less than 50% marks (B.Sc & BE/B.Tech). Other Criteria: Before apply for this exam, candidates are informed to apply for passport before taking admission. If candidates want to apply for marine courses, they have to show their medical fitness certificate by Doctors approved by Director General of Shipping. Appearing candidates can also apply but they have to qualify their examination on or before 31stMay 2018. Physical Fitness: Candidates, those seek admission to marine courses (DG Shipping-approved courses) have to produce a medical fitness certificate which is approved by the Director General of Shipping. The application form will be available from the April 2018. Candidates have to log in through the generated application number and password to complete application. IMU CETCounselling Procedure

IMU CET 2018 Counselling: The candidates who will be shortlisted (either in 1st or 2nd list) would be called for counselling at the five campuses of IMU. Counselling would be done in online mode only and candidates would not be required to present themselves for the counselling at some centers. Seat allotment would be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the CET exam plus his suitability based on physical, medical and other related standards. IMU requires eligible candidates to present physical fitness and eyesight fitness certificates to be able to sit for the online counselling. Indian Maritime University can debar a candidate from sitting for the online counselling if they find the candidate deemed unfit for the same. Reservation of Seats: 15% of seats are reserved for Indian Nationals belonging to eligible candidates from scheduled castes, 7.5% are reserved for eligible candidates from scheduled tribes and 27% seats are reserved for eligible candidates from other backward classes.
