AIIMS stands for All India Institute of Medical Science. AIIMS conducts MBBS Entrance Exam for the candidates who want to take admission into MBBS course. The MBBS Entrance Exam is conducted every year by AIIMS, New Delhi. The AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam specializes in educating students about several patterns in Medical Education. AIIMS 2018 examination is a national level examination, which is regulated by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. AIIMS MBBS exam will be considered for providing admission to students in the MBBS programme offered by AIIMS, New Delhi, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Bhubnaeswar, Patna and Raipur. AIIMS exam will be organized to offer admission in 700 MBBS seats offered by AIIMS institutions. This exam will be conducted through CBT (computer based test) in various cities. AIIMS Medical Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for all medical courses offered by the AIIMS is slightly different. Here we are informing about MBBS eligibility criteria prescribed by AIIMS. Before filling the application form, every candidate must read the following terms of eligibility and ensure that they are met. A candidate failing to meet these terms will be rejected in the screening process. Age of the candidate must be 17 years on or before 31 December of the admission year. He must have qualified in class XII or equivalent examination from a recognized education board. Subjects in the qualifying examination must be English and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). He must have scored at least 60% aggregate marks in the subjects taken together (50% for SC/ST). Note: Overseas candidates are eligible only if they produce document of registration under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955.

AIIMS Medical Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern: The exam shall be in Hindi and English, no other language will be available. The format of the paper is computer based and consist of 200 multiple choice questions. The exam will be about 3 hours 30 minutes and it will be held in the morning (9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) and afternoon (3:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) Applicant 1/3 mark will be reduces for each wrong answer and 1 mark will be added for each correct answer. The applicants will appear in the AIIMS MBBS entrance test to be held on Last week of May 2018. The result of the entrance test will be declared on June 2018, 2nd week. AIIMS Medical PG Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for PG Exam: Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria first then apply for AIIMS PG 2018 application form. The prescribed eligibility criteria is given below: Candidate must be an Indian Citizen. He/she should possess a MBBS degree for admission in the MD/MS courses of the AIIMS from the recognised University/Institute under Medical Council of India (MCI). For admission in MDS, candidate must hold BDS degree from recognised University/Institute under Dental Council of India (DCI). Candidate must obtain 55% marks aggregate in the qualifying exam however, it is 50% for candidates belonging to reserved category i.e. SC/ST. Aspirants must complete the 1 year rotating internship on or before 31st January, 2018 as it is mandatory requirement.
