Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit: (as on 01.01.2017) Group 'C' : UR - 18 to 29 Years; OBC - 18 to 32 Years, SC / ST - 18 to 34 Years Erstwhile Group 'D' : UR - 18 to 32 Years; OBC - 18 to 35 Years, SC / ST - 18 to 37 Years Educational Qualification: Group 'C' : Passed 10 + 02 examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate from a recognised Board, affiliated to COBSE/ India or its equivalent. 50% marks are not required for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen or where the candidates possess higher qualification i.e. Graduation/ Post Graduation etc from a Recognised University. Central RailwayExam Pattern

Exam Pattern: Out of 50 marks, 10 marks are allotted for essay or descriptive type of questions and 40 marks for objective type. Competitors appearing for this examination will have to write the examination in OMR sheet. Be clear, before choosing the right option, in order to avoid negative marking. The written test shall be of 60 minutes duration for an aggregate of 50 marks. The exam will be both in objective and descriptive The question paper will be in bilingual i.e. English and Hindi. Candidates will have to secure minimum 40% of marks in written test. Written test will be conducted in OMR sheet. A negative mark of 1/3 is deducted for each wrong answer. Selection Process for Central Railway Group C and Group D Jobs Railway aspirants will be selected for Group C and Group D posts in Central Railway on basis of their performance in Written Exam and Personal Interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The date and venue of written examination, scouting skill assessment and document verification will be fixed by the RRC and will be intimated to selected applicants in further process. Any applicant's request for postponement of the examination/ scouting skill assessment /document verification will not be considered under any circumstances.
