NSTSE Stands for National Level Science Talent Search Examination It is a scientifically designed, skill-based assessment developed in India for Indian schools after a detailed study of the syllabi of different central and state boards. Unified Council is India’s leading scientific assessment organization. National Level Science Talent Search Examination NSTSE has been providing a strong foundation to the younger generation and helping them to succeed. NSTSE is a diagnostic test which actually helps students improve. Unlike regular tests which try only to find out how much a child knows (or has memorized), NSTSE measures how well a student has understood concepts and gives detailed feedback on the same, to help them improve. Thus NSTSE helps each student know whether he/she has actually understood a concept early on so that immediate action can be taken. The International Olympiad of Mathematics, a test of competence and proficiency in Mathematics, is held annually at the national and international levels based on syllabus prescribed by CBSE / ICSE and the State Boards. Apart from syllabus, a part of test paper is based on mental ability and reasoning. The aim of the competition is to test innate problem solving skills. Since one of the goals of such olympiads is to identify talent at a young age, these olympiads are usually restricted to students not yet admitted to any undergraduate programme. The NCO ( National Cyber Olympiad ) is a global search competitions that aims at identifying and nurturing cyber talent amongst the youngsters. The students from classes 2 - 12 are eligible for appearing in it. It is conducted in two levels. It is an international level competition focusing on Mental Ability, Logical & Analytical reasoning in computers and IT. The IEO ( International English Olympiad ) is an English language examination conducted in India. The British Council is extremely happy to be collaborating with SOF on providing the tests for the International English Olympiad. The students from classes 1 - 12 are eligible for appearing in it. All students participating in IEO get an 'English Quotient ( EQ )', giving their score, school rank, city rank, state rank, international rank and percentile, as well as a 'Certificate of Participation'. SOF also generates a performance report for all participating schools, known as 'School English Quotient ( SEQ ). A School English Scholar Medal' is awarded to every class topper (with minimum 10 enrollments in the class concerned) in each participating school. The International Informatics Olympiad ( IIO ) , a test of competence and proficiency in computer science, is held annually at the national and international levels based on syllabus prescribed by CBSE / ICSE and the State Boards in the Month of Aug / Oct. The objective of iFLO is therefore, to make French learning an interesting and interactive process in which a learner is actually able to put his/her skills, memory, talent and knowledge to test. It is good for every child to appear for talent exams because it improves reading & writing skills as well as the overall knowledge of the subject. You can truly appreciate the importance of knowing a foreign language when you begin to Study it. The feeling of accomplishment you get on learning a foreign language, the personal enrichment that the language brings, can be felt only by experience. Languages are a means of expression.
