Shiv Nadar University ( SNU ) PhD Entrance Examination Selection Procedure– 2018

For PhD in Engineering 

Electrical Engineering :

Short-listed candidates will be required to demonstrate their knowledge through an on-site written test and interview, to be held in November 2017. Selections will be based on past academic performance, written examination and/or interview. Please note that not all candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria may be shortlisted. The short listing will be done based on application material received (including the academic qualification, statement of purpose and reference letters).

Mechanical Engineering:

The eligibility criteria mentioned above are minimum standards and applications not meeting the same will be summarily rejected. Short-listed candidates will be required to demonstrate their knowledge through an on-site written test and interview, to be held in December 2017. Selections will be based on past academic performance, written examination and/or interview. Please note that not all candidate meeting the minimum eligibility criteria may be shortlisted.

Chemical Engineering

The shortlisted candidates will have to appear in written tests. Those clearing written test would have to appear for a departmental technical interview on the same day. The written tests and interview will be conducted at Shiv Nadar University (SNU) campus in Gautam Buddha Nagar District (near Greater Noida), U.P.

The shortlisted candidates will be entitled for TA upto 3AC train fare for return journey for appearing for the written test and interview. For outstation candidates, one day in SNU campus will also be arranged free of cost. Suitable transport may also be arranged from particular location(s) if more candidates are arriving there in small time interval.

Civil Engineering

Eligibility criteria mentioned above are minimum standards and applications not meeting the same will be rejected. Short-listed candidates will be required to demonstrate their knowledge and preparation through an on-site written test and interview to be held in December 2017 (see Application Deadlines on page 4). The written tests and interviews will be conducted at the Shiv Nadar University (SNU) campus in Greater Noida, U.P. Please note that not all candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria may be shortlisted. Applicants waiting for the qualifying examination results are also eligible to apply
